Vita Cerum (tm) Is the most effective vitmain C serum available-Here's why.

It will elevate vitamin C levels in your skin after only 4 days of daily use and keep it there.

Vitamin C is the main nutrient involved in Collagen synthesis along with lysine which is included in our serum. You cannot produce collagen without vitamin C and lysine.

Starting in your late 20's, the vitamin C levels in your skin starts declining. Over time time this causes less collagen to be produced and less antioxidant protection. Which results in fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation issues to become visible.

Trying to take vitamin C orally to keep the levels high in your skin is a challenge. Scientific Studies prove that an effective L-ascorbic Vitamin C serum used topically is 20 times more effective at raising the Vitamin C levels in the skin than ingesting supplements.

However, for Vitamin C to work topically it must be L-ascorbic acid dissolved in water and this is where the problem with most Vitamin C serums start.

The L ascorbic acid starts reacting with the oxygen in the water and air and oxidizes which means it loses hydrogen molecules and becomes dehydroascorbic acid which is not vitamin C and will not provide any vitamin C benefit to the skin.

So companies mix Vitamin C with other antioxidants to slow this process down and it does extend the time of oxidation maybe a few weeks from a few days but for a commercial product that is sitting in a warehouse that is not good enough for the product to impart any real vitamin C benefit.

We do it differently. The L ascorbic acid is dissolved in a whole food broth of fresh fruits bio-extracted using a cutting-edge proprietary technology that minimizes the oxidation of L ascorbic acid and then we encapsulate the L-ascorbic acid with microscopic organic phospholipids that provides a barrier to the vitamin C reacting with oxygen.

This unique process prevents the L-ascorbic acid from reacting with oxygen and allows it to penetrate the skin to a deeper level providing you with superior Vitamin C benefits. And has a shelf life of several years if it is unopened.

An effective topical Vitamin C serum is one of the best investments you can make for your skin, regardless of age.

As a consumer you are trying to decide which Vitamin C serum will give you the best results for your money.

Here are some facts to consider before purchasing any Vitamin C serum.

The most important-don't buy any Vitamin C serum that has any stabilized form of vitamin C as its active ingredient-like (Magnesuim ascorbyl phosphate, ascorbate phosphate, ascorbyl palmitate, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Scorbyl Palmitate and there are others)-any name other than L ascorbic acid or ascorbic acid is a waste of money.

Scientific studies show these altered forms of vitamin C do not increase Vitamin C levels in the skin. The following is a quote from a scientific study, [Topical L-Ascorbic Acid: Percutaneous Absorption Studies],-- "Derivatives of ascorbic acid including magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, ascorbyl-6-palmitate, and dehy-droascorbic acid did not increase skin levels of L-ascorbic acid."

The reason these stabilized forms of vitamin C do not work topically is because vitamin C (ascorbic acid) cannot work when attached to other molecules. Like the stabilized forms you see in most vitamin C serums. They are fine when taken orally because your digestive system can break the L ascorbic acid free from the other molecules-however there is no mechanism in your skin that can do that. So you get no vitamin C benefits when applied to the skin.

Also look at the packaging. The biggest problem for vitamin C degradation is air and most vitamin C serums are in dropper bottles so opening and closing your container is not good. Vitamin C serums should always be in airtight dispensing containers.

Light oxidizes vitamin C and most vitamin C serums are in amber glass bottles. Amber does filter out some light but not all. Dense recyclable plastic is the best. Which is why we package ours in a airtight serum pump dispensing container.

The PH of any Vitamin C Serum is important. For it to be effective the PH has to be 3.5 or lower, ours is manufactured at 3.2 which is most optimal.

Vita Cerum(tm) delivers more Vitamin C benefits faster to your skin at less cost than any other Vitamin C serum being sold.

Brand Back Story

When vitamin C serums started becoming popular, I analyzed a lot of the products and only found one that would provide some level of vitamin C skin benefits, which was Skinceuticals Vitamin C Serum. The reason is that virtually all of the products then and even now use a stabilized form of vitamin C in their products. Which provides no vitamin C benefits when applied topically. Because the ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is bonded to other molecules like magnesium and potassium. This keeps the product from reacting with oxygen and oxidizing. But after reviewing the science, this stabilized form provides no vitamin c benefit topically. Orally is fine because the digestive system can break the ascorbic free from the other molecules but topically there is no mechanism for that to happen.

However, Skinceuticals was using regular unbonded ascorbic acid (vitamin C) in their product. To stabilize it, they mixed it with another antioxidant (ferulic acid) which they filed a patent on. This slowed the oxidation but I felt we could create one even better using our technology. Because vitamin C is much more effective when the vitamin C cofactors are present like the way it is found in food.

So, I took ascorbic acid and liposomed it. Which coated it with a phospholipid barrier and then dissolved it into a powerful food antioxidant extraction which included the vitamin c cofactors. Along with another food extraction that mimics the moisturization of synthetic hyaluronic acid.

We also incorporated other things, for example packaging-to minimize the oxidation of the ascorbic acid so it has a viable commercial shelf life.

When used this product delivers excellent vitamin C skin benefits.
